In Memoriam Margaret Thatcher
Words spoken by Dominique de Biasi on hearing the news of Baroness Thatcher?s death on 8 April 2013:
?The origin of political consciousness, for me, lies with Benjamin Disraeli. I?m a Disraelian, as much as a Churchillian, Tory. But I am a child of Baroness Thatcher. I have always admired ?Madame Thatcher?, as we used to call her in France. I am profoundly sad, not to say grief-stricken, at the news that she has died. I have immense respect for what she has done for her country. In my eyes, she will remain an example of political courage, conviction and astuteness. C?est une emotion très profonde pour moi.?
